HL7 Standards to Host Grand Rounds

gr

February is almost here and to start things off, HL7 Standards is pleased to announce it will host Grand Rounds Vol. 7 No. 19 on Tuesday, February 1, 2011.

For those unfamiliar with the program, Grand Rounds is a weekly blog sharing movement for health care professionals (physicians, nurses, CIOs, students, researchers, etc.) to share the best in medical blogging. Each week a different blog hosts Grand Rounds, and readers are connected to other bloggers, websites and information they may have not been exposed to otherwise.

We need your help.

As a blog dedicated to “engaging conversations on healthcare and technology,” this week’s theme is dedicated to posts discussing the relationship between health care and technology.

Submissions can acknowledge the impact of any movement, event or project involved with technology influencing the health care process. This includes:

  • Healthcare connectivity and interoperability
  • The Direct Project (formerly known as NHIN)
  • HIE and RHIO initiatives
  • Meaningful Use/HITECH
  • EHR/EMR Certification
  • Mobile health (or mHealth)
  • Etc.
  • In order to participate, please email info@hl7standards.com with the name of the post, a brief description of how it relates to healthcare and technology and a link to where it is posted. Please include “Grand Rounds Submission” in the subject line.

Submissions will be accepted anytime between Tuesday, January 25, 2011 and 11:59 p.m. CT on Sunday, January 30, 2011. Late submissions will not be considered for the post.

Looking forward to reading submissions from the healthcare and technology communities.
